This post is advertised on behalf of the Lead Force, West Yorkshire Police. You will be employed as a West Yorkshire Police employee, but your office base may be in a different location.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a unique team within the police family. Whilst the main office is based in Leeds, the role is a Regional one and the successful candidate will be expected to work throughout the region, Humberside, South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, Durham, Cleveland and Northumbria.  This post will cover Durham, Cleveland and Northumbria areas and will work primarily within this part of the region.

Your main focus will be organising, arranging and delivering protective security awareness advice to Crowded Places (CP), Hazardous Sites and substances (HSS), Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) and other sites, utilising presentations from a range of products.

We are looking for a candidate with knowledge of Data Protection, Protective Marking Schemes and a working knowledge of intelligence systems. You will have competent IT skills specifically Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

As this role requires you to deliver presentations and information to a cross range of business and private sector audiences, from senior management to people working at all levels, you must be able to clearly evidence written and verbal communication skills.

A Self-motivated individual, able to manage your own workload, with proven organisational skills and an ability to undertake research and analyse information is sought. You will need to attend the role specific training course and achieve competency.

As a CTA Advisor you must be prepared to work flexibly to suit the needs of the unit with possible weekend cover, travel extensively for business purposes and potentially work for extended periods across or outside the NE Region. In addition, you must hold a current UK/European driving licence or possess the ability to access remote and isolated venues.

The successful candidate must be a British Citizen and will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment. For security reasons you should not discuss your application with anyone other than your immediate family.
