Applications are invited from substantive Detective Inspectors.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a regional alliance that is a key component in the response to serious and organised criminality within Yorkshire and Humberside.

This role will manage and provide a service with regard to all covert operations linked with UCF/UCOL Operational Teams.  Supporting local, regional and national covert operations, ensuring compliance with legislation to achieve successful outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have successfully managed undercover intelligence, evidence gathering operations and investigations involving serious organised crime using covert policing methods.

It is essential that you have a detailed knowledge of the relevant legislation including RIPA, ECHR, policies and stated cases concerning covert law enforcement operations.

You will have a full current UK/European driving licence, the ability and willingness to work flexible hours including an on call rota, and travel/work regionally and nationally if required.

Please note that the successful candidate will be subject to advanced personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment. 

This will be a posting for West Yorkshire Police Officers and a secondment to the Regional Forces.  As this is a secondment you will require permission from your current Force in order to be eligible to apply.
