Applications are invited from Substantive Sergeants and Constables on the Constable to Sergeant Succession plan.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a regional alliance that is a key component in the response to serious and organised criminality in the Yorkshire and Humber Region.

In this role you will manage all Yorkshire and Humberside Cyber Dependent Crime. You will coordinate the reactive investigation ensuring that all crimes are assessed, prioritised and allocated accordingly for the appropriate pursue, protect or prevent response by the four force cybercrime teams. We need you to monitor and review all investigations using regional assets and the national and international network where assessed as appropriate, as well as provide guidance, advice and support in relation to training and equipment.

This role would suit an officer with experience of planning and supervising complex investigations, using intelligence to support policing objectives, who can also identify and manage operational threats and risks.

We are looking for candidates with experience of developing teams and processes to enhance performance, as well as having a sound knowledge of Police IT systems. You will also be expected to successfully complete advanced cyber investigation training courses required for the role.

In addition, you must hold a current full UK/European driving licence and have access to your own vehicle for business use. To be considered for this role, you must be prepared to work flexibly to suit the needs of the unit which may involve changing your routine at short notice. Furthermore, you will need to hold a UK Passport and be prepared to travel throughout the UK and internationally as required.

The successful candidate will be subject to enhanced personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.

This will be a posting for West Yorkshire Police officers and a secondment to the Regional Forces. As this is a secondment you will require permission from your current Force in order to be eligible to apply.
