West Yorkshire Police as the lead Force for the Yorkshire and the Humber Regional Scientific Support Services is looking to recruit a Crime Scene Investigation Trainer to join the CSI Training Team based at Ossett in Wakefield.

In this role you will assist in identifying and evaluating local training and development needs and designing solutions to deliver training, as well as providing advice to individuals or groups within the Regional Scientific Support Unit to address identified organisational or individual needs.

 

To be considered for this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience as an operational Senior CSI across all crime types, and maintain ongoing operational competence against National Occupational Standards. You will come with up to date knowledge of the application of forensic science at crime scenes and can exemplify communicating and delivering training effectively.


Due to the nature of the role, you must provide Biometric samples (fingerprints and DNA) for inclusion on the respective police elimination databases for routine speculative searching purposes, and be prepared to work flexible hours to meet the requirements of the Crime Scene Investigation Team; possession of a full current UK/European driving licence is essential.
