Opportunities have arisen for dedicated Sergeants to join our Local Policing Command.


The successful candidate will have an opportunity to join established Neighbourhood Teams which have a proven track record of delivering great service to our communities, but also to add to the development of place-based policing in Hull and East Riding.


The overall purpose of this role is to supervise the team, providing leadership and direction, ensuring that effective policing services are delivered in accordance with the Force aims and ambition.  Additionally, the post holder will provide a response to emergency and prompt calls for service, put victims first by using a problem solving approach to reduce crime, antisocial behaviour and bringing offenders to justice.


Applicants must be the rank of Sergeant or is in the promotion pool, and is eligible to be promoted.


The Role

 

The successful candidate will conduct formal briefings to ensure individuals have the necessary skills, equipment and information to undertake their duties.

 

The successful applicant will:

 

  • Have an understanding of the local and social issues, which surround the Police.
  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of relevant criminal law, especially PACE.
  • Have the ability to develop positive relationships within and outside the Organisation.
