The National Crime Agency sits at the heart of law enforcement response to protect the public against serious and organised crime. We are looking for exceptional leaders to fill a number of vacancies across our Senior Leadership Team. We have vacancies at Deputy Director level including Capability Engineering, National Economic Crime Centre (NECC), HR Chief Operating Officer, and Investigations, Intelligence and Threat Leadership. Deputy Director Investigations leads proactive serious and organised crime investigations in the UK and abroad. In these roles you will have the following responsibilities:

●     Operational accountability for proactive/reactive NCA serious and organised crime investigations both in the UK and overseas.

●     Perform the role of Gold Commander for NCA major/complex investigations.

●     Overall accountability for a number of departments and investigations including the NCA Specialist Operations Unit and firearms operations, NCA Anti-Kidnap and Extortion Unit, and Border investigations.

 

Deputy Director Intelligence has the following responsibilities:

●     Overall accountability for ensuring intelligence products are driving the response to the threat.

●     Provide advice to the Director, DDG and DG on matters relating to tactical and strategic intelligence. Represent the National Crime Agency in meetings and across UK Government providing authoritative insight on intelligence matters.

●     Chair a number of on-going Gold groups and multi-agency meetings which manage the response to critical incidents and specific operational matters.

 

Deputy Director Threat Leadership

●     Overall responsibility for the leadership and direction to the Threat Leadership Command within the Agency and across Law Enforcement partners.

●     Provide advice to the Director to inform the strategic overview and delivery of comprehensive 4P strategies for all SOC threats.

●     Ensure a coordinated response to the threats across all law enforcement, public service and third sector partners; building relationships and tackling complex issues together.

 

To be successful, we expect you to demonstrate evidence of strong communication skills, senior leadership experience in a complex and political environment, and extensive experience of HMG, intelligence communities or law enforcement senior partnership.

 

For the Deputy Director Investigations role only, you must additionally demonstrate senior operational law enforcement experience including leading on serious major investigations, and Gold Commander training and experience. You must hold PIP 3 or PIP 4 level accreditation.

 

Please note you will be expected to acquire and retain Developed Vetting security clearance.
