The National Crime Agency sits at the heart of law enforcement response to protect the public against serious and organised crime. We are looking for exceptional leaders to fill a number of vacancies across our Senior Leadership Team. This advertisement is for Deputy Director Capability Engineering. This role leads on specific design, development, delivery and support of new technical capabilities (operational, business, back office and corporate) across the agency. The post holder will:

●     Have responsibility for the technical specification, solution and system design, development, delivery and support of all new technical (operational, business, back office and corporate) capabilities in NCA.

●     Lead the design and delivery of new standards, processes, methods and tools used in the system design and development of all new NCA capabilities.

●     Act as a role model to lead, inspire, innovate, empower and develop officers within your business area and across the Agency.

 

To be successful, we expect you to demonstrate evidence of strong leadership and engagement skills, as well as proven experience of systems development methods. You will need to demonstrate previous experience of hardware or software development. Essentially you must be a Fellow of BCS/IET, and possess a degree-level qualification in a STEM subject or equivalent.

 

Please note you will be expected to acquire and retain Developed Vetting security clearance.
