We are a regional procurement unit supporting the four Police Forces and Police and Crime Commissioners in the Yorkshire and the Humber region (Humberside Police, North Yorkshire Police, South Yorkshire Police and West Yorkshire Police).  We have an office base within each of the four Force areas.

The successful candidates at Category Officer level will be enthusiastic and motivated individuals with an understanding of public sector procurement who are looking for a new challenge.

The Category Officer will contribute to the delivery of category strategies, undertaking procurement and contract management activity.  They will participate in tendering activity, assisting in the preparation, dispatch, receipt and evaluation of Tenders and provide Procurement advice to the regional police forces, ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation. 

There is a requirement to travel across the region to meet with customers but the successful candidate would be able to choose the most convenient of our offices to base themselves.
