Secondment 2 Years for Regional Force Applicants

 

Applications are invited from Police Constables and Detective Constables for places on the Surveillance Development Programme.  You must have completed your probationary period by the closing date of this advert.

 

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a unique team, supporting the work of Counter Terrorism Policing.

 

You will be required to undertake covert, mobile, technical and foot surveillance in order to obtain intelligence and evidence to assist an investigation or operation.

 

The successful candidates will have the ability to successfully complete a Surveillance Core Skills course (Level 1) and Advanced Driving course along with a basic knowledge of legislation relating to surveillance including RIPA 2000. 

 

Officers will successfully pass and maintain eyesight and hearing levels to a required standard and have no noticeable striking physical features.

You must hold a current Standard Police Driving Authority and full UK/European Driving License, and in addition must be willing to undertake long and unsocial working hours, often with changes being made at short notice. This includes some working away from home/overnight stays.

 

This will be a posting for West Yorkshire Police officers and a secondment for Regional Force officers. As this is a secondment you will require permission from your current Force in order to be eligible to apply.

Please note that the successful candidate will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.  You must be a British citizen and eligible to hold a British passport to work in the CTU.
