About the role…

Humberside Police is going through an exciting period of transformation and we are pleased to be in a position to advertise for an Assistant Chief Officer (Resources).

We are looking for an Assistant Chief Officer to be a part of our new Chief Officer team who will lead and inspire the workforce, provide strategic leadership, have a performance management focus and be a role model for staff regarding diversity and equality. You will inspire creativity in your staff, have a track record of innovation, embrace new ideas and help us continue to develop a culture where our communities and staff feel valued, listened to and empowered.

Reporting directly to the Chief Constable, you will drive the strategic direction of the Force as a key member of the Chief Officer Group, promoting our values and behaviours in line with police service expectations, championing organisational change, delivering improved results and increasing efficiency.

The responsibilities of the Assistant Chief Officer (Resources) are extensive and you will lead critical enabling services including Finance and Business Support, HR & Training, IT and Estates functions. Some functions are collaborative with partner organisations. You will chair several key strategic boards and be the senior responsible officer for the delivery of significant and complex projects.
