West Yorkshire Police as the lead Force for the Yorkshire and the Humber Regional Scientific Support Services (RSSS) are looking to recruit a Senior Imaging Officer (Operational Imaging) to be based at Calder Park, Wakefield.

In this new and exciting role, you will be responsible for management and delivery of the general imaging, audio enhancement, repairs and maintenance, as well as facial imaging functions. You will ensure the unit meets the investigative requirements of all four Forces within the Yorkshire and Humber region.

Eligible candidates will come with a degree or equivalent recognised formal qualification in an imaging subject or in depth theoretical and practical working experience in the imaging or audio field.

This role would suit someone with a basic working knowledge of computerised databases and broad-based practical experience in an imaging or audio environment. Due to the nature of the role, you must provide Biometric samples (fingerprints and DNA) for inclusion on the respective Police Elimination Databases for routine speculative searching purposes.

In addition, you will require a current, full UK/European driving licence, the ability to travel for business purposes, and a flexible approach to working hours to suit business needs.
