Exciting opportunities have arisen to join our Compliance and Engagement team at Safer Road Humber, based on the North and South bank.

Safer Roads Humber is a Casualty Reduction Partnership comprising Humberside Police, Humberside Fire & Rescue, Hull City Council, East Riding of Yorkshire Council, North Lincolnshire Council, North East Lincolnshire Council and Highways England, which undergo many activities to reduce road casualties and maintain that reduction.  The partnership does this by carrying out enforcement, public facing engagement and education to high risk user groups.

The Role

The overall purpose of the role is the enforcement of road traffic legislation, working to reduce casualties on the roads within the Humberside area.

The successful candidate will be expected to participate in all aspects of Safer Roads Humber initiatives as well as carry out enquiries in order to trace defendants/offenders and serve documents in relation to traffic offences or court appearances.

The successful applicant will have qualifications and experience in the following areas:

  • Will hold a full driving licence to drive cars and light vans
  • Holds, or is prepared to work towards IQ Level 3 Organisation in Road Safety Enforcement Technology Laser Operator
  • Have experience of working in a secure and confidential environment
  • Possess a sound knowledge of traffic legislation and local policy and practice relating to traffic enforcement and road safety
  • Experience of giving presentations to a range of audiences.
