LOCATION – BARTON

TERM – PERMANENT

HOURS – 15 HOURS (BASED ON ONE WEEK OFF & ONE WEEK ON)

SCALE & PAY – SCALE 3 (£18,123 - £19,317)

ALLOWANCES – WEEKEND WORKING ALLOWANCE

The overall purpose of this role is to provide an enquiry and advice service to members of the public, partnerships and police officers/staff attending or telephoning the station including administrative tasks in order to service the needs of the community in accordance with local policing and Force objectives. 

Additionally, the post holder will provide advice and assist members of the public or any other internal bodies contacting the station either in person or by telephone over an extensive range of issues/circumstances, including dealing with stranded/homeless persons. 

 

The Role

 

The working hours required for this role are as followed:

Week 1           Monday 1200x2000 (7.5 hours)

                        Wednesday 1000x1800 (7.5 hours)

                        Thursday 1000x1800 (7.5 hours)

                        Saturday 0900x1700 (7.5 hours)

Week 2           Off

Week 3           Monday 1200x2000 (7.5 hours)

                        Wednesday 1000x1800 (7.5 hours)

                        Thursday 1000x1800 (7.5 hours)

                        Saturday 0900x1700 (7.5 hours)                  

Week 4           Off

 The preferred applicant will hold the following qualities and experience:

 

  • Experience of working in a customer orientated and clerical field, incorporating record keeping and telephone work.
  • The ability to handle items of a sensitive nature, for example, cash, drugs and firearms.
  • Flexibility to take part in a shift system and is willing to provide cover at short notice.
