This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a unique team supporting the work of the North East Counter Terrorism Unit. You will perform the role of Receiver and/or Document Reader and supervise all aspects of the HOLMES computer system providing support in counter terrorism enquiries.
The ideal candidate will be a proven supervisor, or can demonstrate the ability to supervise staff through experience and/or previous training, and will have proven investigative and/or research skills. Furthermore, you will have completed a HOLMES course; Fusion cell course and a Tacit Clio administrators course, or will be capable of successfully completing such courses, and will possess good IT skills and a working knowledge of computer packages such as Microsoft Office.
As a HOLMES Reader/Receiver it is essential you can work flexibly, and be able to travel to various locations throughout the Force area, or across the United Kingdom if required on linked incidents. You will also be expected to participate in a working rota which includes weekends.
The successful candidate must be a British Citizen and will be subject to enhanced personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment. For security reasons you should not discuss your application with anyone other than your immediate family.
This post is flexible working between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 including weekend working and is suitable for job share.
