Applications are invited from qualified Detective Constables who have completed their probationary period by the closing date of this advert.

The successful candidate, being an integral member of the Regional Asset Recovery Team (RART) based within the Wakefield office, will maximise opportunities to disrupt and prevent serious & organised crime, by assessing, gathering and developing evidence and intelligence, conducting proactive & reactive investigations, leading to the prosecution of offenders under POCA legislation & other relevant legislation. 

It is essential that you have a basic knowledge of Proceeds of Crime legislation and Money Laundering Regulations along with data protection principles and procedures.  You will come with Knowledge and experience in analysing complex information and make recommendations.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of dealing with serious, complex crimes and associated court papers, and basic knowledge of regulated sector and their POCA obligations.

In addition you must hold a full UK/European driving licence, have access to a car and be prepared to utilise it for business purposes, be prepared to work extended/flexible hours at short notice and travel outside the UK in accordance with departmental requirements.

Please note that the successful candidate will be subject to Management and Security Clearance Vetting Procedures.

This will be a posting for West Yorkshire Police officers and a secondment to the Regional Forces. As this is a secondment you will require permission from your current Force in order to be eligible to apply.
