Applications are invited from Constables who have completed their probationary period at the closing date of this advert, for places on the Succession List.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a regional alliance that is a key component in the response to serious and organised criminality within Yorkshire and Humber.

As a Cyber Crime Investigator you will plan and carry out reactive and proactive digital forensic investigations in order to detect, deter and disrupt the most serious incidents of computer and network based criminal activity posing a regional and national threat.

The ideal candidate will come with knowledge and experience of covert policing methodology and techniques and Police IT systems.  You will have experience of carrying out complex investigations and of the use of intelligence to support policing objectives.

To be considered for this role you will have the ability to identify and manage operational threats and risks, complete advanced cyber investigation training courses and be prepared to work flexible hours to suit the requirements of the department.

In addition you will have received clearance from Vetting procedures, including financial checks, hold a full current UK/European driving license or the ability to travel around the Region, hold a UK Passport and be willing to travel internationally.

This will be a posting for West Yorkshire Police officers and a secondment to the Regional Forces. As this is a secondment you will require permission from your current Force in order to be eligible to apply.
