South Yorkshire & Humberside Police IS Data Services is looking for an experienced Technical Lead to plan and manage the implementation of the Duty Management System (DMS) for South Yorkshire Police, for the next 12 months.

As the successful applicant you will coordinate internal resources and third parties/suppliers for IS services during the implementation of the Duty Management System for South Yorkshire Police and ensure that the IS project requirements are delivered on time, within the agreed scope and within budget tolerances. As the Technical Lead, you will develop IS Project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility undertaken, manage IS resource availability and allocation in conjunction with IS Team Leaders and Management and develop a detailed IS Project Plan to track progress, and provide regular updates to IS Management and internal stakeholders.

Furthermore, you will use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs, measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, techniques, and report\manage and escalate risk and issues to IS and Project Board management as needed. In addition, you will manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders for all IS related matters, establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors and create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure version control is adhered too.

Applicants should be customer focussed and have a good understanding of project planning, agile delivery techniques and team leadership skills.  Experience of how duty management systems operate would also be advantageous.  A desire to work in a challenging & innovative environment is essential.

Reporting to the Data Services Manager, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to experience and obtain a range of high value industry skills, whilst developing technical and business strengths towards personal and force goals.
