West Yorkshire Police as the lead Force for the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Crime Unit are looking to recruit an Intelligence Analyst based in Wakefield.

Under the guidance of a coach you will provide an analytical function guiding and supporting proactive and reactive operations through the selection and application of analytical tools and methods. You will interpret sensitive or covertly obtained information and intelligence, in order to enhance the overt and covert picture strategically, tactically and operationally and to support the decision making process.

We are offering this opportunity to candidates who are educated to degree level or have directly relevant experience. You will come with a thorough understanding of the interpretation and graphical representation of data, and previous experience of analysing complex data accurately.

You must be willing and able to complete IPP accreditation for the role, applicants who have passed the IPP analyst accreditation will be eligible for starting further along the progression scheme.

In addition, you will require a good working knowledge of computerised databases, together with excellent oral and written communication skills.

Intelligence Analysts must be prepared to work flexibly to suit business needs, travel for business purposes and work at any location within the Yorkshire and the Humber Region as required. The successful candidates will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.
