Investigation Team – PVPU (Clough Road and Brigg)


Applications are sought from PC's who are passionate about protecting vulnerable people and have a desire to work in a challenging and rewarding environment where you can have a significant positive impact upon the lives of victims and their families.


The PVPU are seeking to recruit dedicated and enthusiastic officers to form a new team committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable victims.


Working in partnership with Social Services and other agencies, you will be responding to information and intervening to safeguard victims and undertake initial investigations into alleged criminality; this will include obtaining initial victim and witness accounts, seizing evidence, conducting DVD-recorded interviews and supporting forensic medical examinations.



You will be an integral part of department who are committed to targeting some of the highest risk and most dangerous criminals within our communities and bringing them to justice, thereby protecting the public. This role will give you a real opportunity to make a difference.


This is a progressive role with subsequent development opportunities for officers to complete the ICIDP, Serious Sexual Assault Investigators Development Programme (SSAIDP) and Serious Child Abuse Investigators Development Programme (SCAIDP); there will also be opportunities to transition into the Core Investigation Team to progress serious and complex investigations.

Successful applicants will complete a specialist witness interview course and receive additional training to assist you in the role. Furthermore you will work as part of a close-knit, highly motivated and dedicated team and will be supported by experienced supervision.
