Applications are invited from qualified Detective Sergeants who have completed their probationary period by the closing date of this advert.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a unique team, supporting the work of Counter Terrorism Policing.

The main purpose of your role is to efficiently and effectively undertake the role of a Team Leader or Intelligence Cell Supervisor, managing Detective Constables and Police Staff to investigate Terrorist incidents or National Security or other such critical incidents as directed by the SIO, DSIO or Office Manager.

The successful candidate will have experience of completing serious and complex investigations and subsequent file preparation, have successfully completed the initial or foundation CID training course and be willing and have the ability to complete relevant CBRN training and undertake CBRN related activities.

It is essential that you are prepared to follow an on-call arrangement for immediate response if required and have the willingness and ability to work in unpleasant and contaminated environments.

In addition, it is essential that you possess a full current UK/European driving licence, have access to your own vehicle and are prepared to use it for business purposes.

This will be a posting for West Yorkshire Police officers and a secondment for the Regional Force officers. As this is a secondment you will require permission from your current Force in order to be eligible to apply.
