West Yorkshire Police as the lead Force for the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Crime are looking to recruit a Researcher to join the Regional Online Child Sexual Exploitation Team based in Rotherham.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established Regional alliance that is a key component in the response to serious and organised criminality.
In this role, we need you to provide an efficient research service by using the most appropriate products and techniques, assisting in the identification of links and associations between data, to support operational staff and enable management to make informed operational decisions.
Eligible candidates will come with previous experience gained within an intelligence environment and/or experience of research, together with a good working knowledge of computerised databases.
Furthermore, you will need excellent communication skills both oral and written, the ability to work in a high pressure environment and to tight deadlines, as well as proven experience of writing structured reports. You will also be required to complete IPP accreditation for the role.
In addition, you must be prepared to work flexibly to suit the needs of the department, willing to travel for business purposes nationally and work at any district or unit within the Force as required.
The successful candidate will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.
