West Yorkshire Police is looking to recruit two Data Review Officers to be based in Leeds.

In this role, you will provide specialist technical support to regional, national and international related investigations through the viewing, assessment, analysis and interpretation of various forms of data including: digital, multimedia, audio and text, provided from a range of law enforcement and intelligence agencies.

We are looking for candidates with a thorough working knowledge and expertise of common operating systems, applications, basic network technologies and internet technologies, along with an aptitude for problem solving, in a methodical and orderly manner.

You will come with experience and/or training in a relevant field e.g. media reviewing, analytical skills, interpretation of data, navigation and use of Microsoft products. You will also be required to pass core courses in relation to the review and analysis of multimedia communications, as specified by the National HQ and the College of Policing.

As one of our Data Review Officers, you will need physical and emotional resilience to deal with abusive and offensive images, of extreme violence, obscenity and depravity. You must be able to recognise sensitive information and maintain discretion and confidentiality, and also work under pressure, make critical decisions and work to tight schedules and deadlines.

In addition, you will be required to travel for business purposes and work flexibly to suit the needs of the team, potentially working unsociable hours for extended periods across or outside the NE Region and if necessary providing 24 hour cover and changing hours at short notice. You must hold a Full UK/European Driving Licence.

The successful candidates must be British Citizens and will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.
