Our 999 and 101 call centres deal with almost half a million calls a year. The Corporate Communications Department is responsible for making sure that Humberside Police provides timely and accurate information to the media and to our communities about our work, we support police operations to find vulnerable and wanted people, we make sure that the public have access to information to protect themselves and reduce crime and we help our police officers to engage with their communities to build trust and confidence.

We are looking for an experienced Communications Manager, who can lead a team in a very fast-moving environment, make timely decisions, and manage competing demands.

The successful candidate will lead on the strategy and delivery in the areas of media relations, social media, issues management, digital engagement, social media, and internal communications.

The post holder will have 5-7 years’ experience in a busy communications environment, a communications related qualification and experience of a modern public sector organisation.
