Role: Wellbeing Coordinator

Salary: £24,759-£28,353

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Temporary for 12 months

 

Role Purpose:

Act as the first point of contact on wellbeing matters, providing support and advice in the development and delivery of the Force’s Wellbeing strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Wellbeing Executive Board and other stakeholders to support the development, management and delivery of the Forces Wellbeing strategy.
  • Assist the Force Thematic and HR Leads in respect of projects, initiatives and events to improve knowledge, skills, practice and culture relating to our people’s wellbeing. This includes liaison with internal colleagues, other forces and partners; arranging meetings and events; preparing and circulating appropriate documentation and progressing actions arising.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to raise the profile of, support for, and participation in, the wellbeing programme. This includes Subject Matter Experts, locally based Wellbeing Champions and external partners/agencies.

Skills and experience:

  • Knowledge and understanding of wellbeing issues and the ability to apply these to the workplace
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to a range of stakeholders and audiences
  • Experience of drafting and producing communication in a variety of formats

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity. A minimum checkable history of 3 years has been identified for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.

Any tattoos which could be deemed inappropriate or cause offence will also not be accepted. If you have tattoos, you will need to make a declaration at the time of application.

Closing dates are not normally extended, other than in exceptional circumstances and agreement is made with the HR Manager, Recruitment and the Line Manager for the role.
