Carbrook - Force HQ, Force Wide, Sheffield
ACC

South Yorkshire Police, Assistant Chief Constable

Salary: £115,026 – £129,600 plus car

South Yorkshire offers one of the most interesting, challenging and rewarding police leadership roles in the UK. Our force's strategic vision has a strong neighbourhood and preventative focus, where we protect vulnerable people as well as offer a robust response to tackling crime and anti-social behaviour.

South Yorkshire Police is looking for the highest calibre of ACC or Chief Superintendent (who has completed or is completing the Executive Leadership Programme Level 5 or prior to this, the Strategic Command Course) to play a key role in fulfilling the ambitions of the force through portfolios in crime, neighbourhood and response policing, and operational support. As a high performing and ambitious Force, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate the highest level of operational competence, excellent business acumen and a detailed grasp of performance development. Strategic Firearms Command and Public Order Gold experience is desirable.

The ACCs work will push the force forward in its performance improvement whilst nurturing neighbourhood policing and problem solving, which is at the centre of its operating model. The values of the force, fairness, integrity and trust must be at the fore of all decision making and demonstrated at every opportunity.

In return, the successful candidate will find a Force which is moving forward at pace, is rated as ‘outstanding’ by HMIC in many key areas but has the ambition and drive to deliver more. The Force can offer a broad and exciting range of professional challenges whilst harnessing the support, innovation and drive of a dedicated and diligent workforce.

If you feel like you can demonstrate the high standards required, please download our application pack for more details.

The annual salary starts at £115,026 and a car is provided for duty use and private use subject to conditions. A relocation package is negotiable.
