An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT professional to lead the Solutions Delivery function for the joint IT service between South Yorkshire Police and Humberside Police. As a key member of the IT Management team, you will be responsible not only for the delivery of multiple major software systems including Criminal Justice, Command & Control, ERP and Digital Innovation, but also driving the way forward with data management and BI Reporting.

Both Forces are on an upward trajectory and committed to maximising their investment in technology using use of the data they collect with Artificial Intelligence, Analytics, and Robotics to provide better intelligence and efficiency to front line Policing.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and managing software systems as well as extensive exposure to Microsoft and Oracle database platforms, ideally having gained work in critical environments. Managing the Digital Development, System Admin, Application Support and Data Services teams, you will be keenly focused on driving forward improvements and developments whilst delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring the availability of critical systems.

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity. A minimum checkable history of 3 years / 5 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.
