Salary: Band E - £29, 289 - £33, 771

Hours: 37 Hours per Week

Contract Type: Temporary ending 31 March 2021

 

Working within the department of Business Change and Innovation the post holder will be responsible for, planning and managing the implementation of change across South Yorkshire Police in line with the force key strategies and business requirements. From start up through production of a business case into implementation and to closure.

You will deliver a range of customer focused services on behalf of the force ensuring performance and quality standards are achieved in accordance with customer needs.

The successful candidate will be required to identify opportunities for effectiveness and smarter ways of working for the force. They will be required to direct, research, analyse and produce reports, which are well structured, are of high quality and to Prince 2 standard.

Individuals will be required to liaise with practitioners and specialist functions in developing innovative, timely and cost effective best practice solutions that can be implemented across the force. The post holder will be required to participate in the decision-making process and make recommendations on a number of issues to the Business Change and Innovation Management Team.

Skills and experience:

  • Educated to Degree Level in an appropriate subject matter area or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of project planning and methodologies - PRINCE2 practitioner
  • Knowledge and experience of strategy and planning
  • Experience in Business Analysis techniques and methodologies
  • Knowledge and experience of business models and continuous improvement models
  • Knowledge and experience of stakeholder engagement and communication

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity. A minimum checkable history of 3 years / 5 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.
