Salary:                  £21,432 - £23,100 (Pro-rata)

Hours:                   18.5 Hours per week

Contract Type: Temporary until 31 December 2023

Working Days:   Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

 

Role Purpose:

To provide business support within the district or department.

Key Responsibilities:

You will have experience in an administrative environment and work well as part of a team with the ability to use your initiative and work under pressure.  Working within Performance & Governance Business Support, you will be required to multi-task and your duties will include raising requisitions for goods and services using the relevant systems: receipting of goods and services, confirming deliveries and quantities. 

Support is provided to a number of different departments with competing demands, making this a busy and varied role.

You will provide general administrative support using desktop applications to produce letters, reports and standard forms. 

You should have the ability to create and maintain various spreadsheets and computer records.

You will possess good communication, problem solving and organisational skills, with a flexible approach to meet the demands of the role.

To be considered, you must have experience of using Microsoft Excel, Word and proven numeracy skills.

Skills and experience:

  • Experience of working in an office environment.
  • Ability to utilise Microsoft applications.
  • Proven numeracy.

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity.  A minimum checkable history of 5 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.
