Role: Finance Transactional Design and Implementation Manager           

Department: Corporate Finance (Oracle Project)

Location:  Carbrook, Sheffield   

Salary: £37,134 - £41,517

Hours: 37 hours per week         

Contract Type: Temporary until 31.03.24

 

Role Purpose:

To work with the Oracle Finance Team to play the role of a systems accountant working with the Finance Design and Implementation Lead, Accountancy and Payroll Design and implementation Managers. To be specifically responsible for the implementation of Oracle Cloud for the Finance Transactional, Procure to Pay, Payables and Assets, Receivable, Expense management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with and take a lead role for our SME's, ensuring they are engaged and ensure they have full input into the programme and design of the system
  • Ensure all actions and programmes are undertaken by the team and achieved by given deadline
  • Work with SME’s to understand the current processes, regulation, policy,  statutory and legislation, work with the Finance Technical Consultant,  Finance Departmental lead's and SME’s to produce business requirements and design specification
  • Ensure all business requirements have procedures and process maps for both on and off system processes are mapped, and process owners identified and work with the Business Analysts to understand both current and future effort and productivity are documented and understood.
  • Where required, contribute to the re-engineer processes to adapt to the new system and ensure improved efficiency
  • Engage stakeholders across Finance Business Support and Customers to ensure oversight of the Programme and developments.  Communicate in line with the Programme communication strategy with support from the change team
  • Work across the Programme Team to ensure joined up thinking and collaboration across functions and departments, escalate issues and risk to the Finance Implementation and Design Lead and Programme team where required
  • With the change team, develop the hyper care package for the functional area ensuring adequate training is available and undertaken.

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity.  A minimum checkable history of 5 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.
