Role Purpose:

Work as part of a Team to analyse, plan and manage the implementation of Information Technology aspects across SYP and HP in line with IS Strategies and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the IS Team/Specialism Leader (Database) in the administration of the ORACLE and SQL Server Database estate, ensuring back-up, DR and Business Continuity procedures are followed.
  • Ensure that testing is kept up to date across multiple geographic locations, monitoring all related systems and applications for the provision of proactive support, performance and the provision of KPI’s with respect to availability.
  • As directed by the IS Team/Specialism Leader (Database), liaise with specialist areas with regard to future database requirements and equipment, formulate proposals to meet their needs, monitor and control requests for new work ensuring that appropriate quality and standards are maintained and work is completed in a timely fashion.

Skills and experience:

  • Knowledge and experience of enterprise ORACLE and SQL Server database management best practices.
  • SQL, PLSQL or TSQL knowledge and experience.
  • Experience of Agile delivery methodology for successful project implementations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of database modelling, migration, reporting and data warehouse techniques.

Eligibility:
