Role: Programme Support Assistant (Projects)

Salary: Band B - £18, 951 - £20, 619

Hours: 37 Hours per Week

Role Purpose:

Work as part of a Team to analyse, plan and manage the implementation of Information Technology aspects across SYP and HP in line with IS strategies and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The post holder will undertake general IS business administrative duties carries out secretarial assistance in support of the identified IS work-steam as required, such as arranging and participating in meetings, preparing minutes, updating and publishing documentation.
  • The post holder will assist with the Finance Administration in monitoring IS budget expenditure in accordance with Financial Regulations.
  • Provide procurement guidance and support, liaising with the business procurement function (locals and/or regional) and internal/external IS suppliers as appropriate.
  • Provide secretarial support to the Head of Information Services and Senior Managers.
  • Undertake document processing functions such as data entry, records checking and updating.
  • Work as part of the designated IS team, assisting IS colleagues within and across teams and from external agencies/partners and suppliers.
  • Provide specialist business and project support advice and knowledge.

Skills and experience:

  • Ability to deal with confidential / sensitive matters and maintain confidence.
  • Previous administrative experience.
  • Computer literate including Microsoft Office and Outlook or similar.

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity. A minimum checkable history of 3 years / 5 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.
