Hours: 37 Hours per Week

Contract Type: Temporary – Ending March 2024

 

Details of role:

If successful, you will provide business support for Operation Stovewood, ensuring compliance with Financial Instructions ensuring good governance practice is embedded.

You will display strong communication, problem solving and organisational skills. You will have a flexible approach and the ability to use your initiative and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.   You will need the ability to work alone and as part of a team.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to; manage and monitor hire vehicles, produce and maintain inventories; organising office moves, conduct Health and Safety quarterly premises safety inspections and risk assessments as appropriate. You will also attend and contribute in meetings with internal/external stakeholders.

Ideally, you will hold, or be willing to work towards the ‘Risk Assessment Principles and Practice’ qualification (or equivalent). You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft packages (e.g. word, excel, outlook).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce and maintain Management Information (including inventories, vehicles, SYP IT assets, equipment, and/or, accommodation) for Operation Stovewood in support of the Line Manager.
  • Comply with Financial Instructions & Contract Standing Orders to ensure good governance is embedded.
  • Liaise to progress enquiries and provide the first point of contact
  • Provide administrative support and project work for Operation Stovewood, including office moves, estates and IT.
  • Use Microsoft Office applications to produce spreadsheets, documents and other material.
  • Manage the Operation Stovewood Business Support inbox and action emails/requests, answer and deal with telephone enquiries.
  • Liaise with internal and external partners as appropriate.
  • Health and Safety - conduct premises safety inspections, risk assessments and other associated health and safety matters in line with Force requirements.
  • Manage ‘Atrium system’ requests, security passes, equipment access codes, Airwave, Lockers and PAVA.
  • Maintain responsibility for own Continuous Professional Development.
  • Travel to other locations within the Force area.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the role

Skills and experience:

  • Previous experience of clerical duties in an office environment.
  • Experience of using Microsoft applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook).

Eligibility:
