Salary: Band B - £18, 486 - £20, 115

Contract & Hours: Permanent – 36 Hours per Week

                              Fixed Term Contract / Secondment (Maternity Cover) – 16 Hours per Week

 

Role Purpose:

To produce accurate summarised accounts of tape-recorded interviews. 

Role Details:

  • Interrogate/Input/Retrieve information from various computer packages.
  • Requirement to communicate with members of the public to advise of court outcomes and progression of prosecution cases.
  • Ability to monitor receipt and progression of cases to support prosecution process
  • Answer and respond to incoming correspondence
  • Liaise with Police Officers and arrange interviews with solicitors/ insurance companies
  • Calculate the costs for the supply of information to solicitors/insurance companies in accordance with ACPO charging guidelines
  • Must prioritise workload on a daily basis to ensure relevant information is supplied to the Courts on time when requested
  • Provide advice to Solicitors, Insurance companies, victims and witnesses regarding the progress of the requests and any other information that is required.
  • Flexibility to assist other teams in the department with tasks/activities commensurate with the grade.
