Salary: Band A - £17, 262 - £18, 078 (Pro-Rota)

Hours: 30 Hours per Week

Contract: Fixed Term Contract / Secondment – 12 Months

 

Role Details:

This role is based at the Force HQ and will be responsible for recording, distributing & preparing both internal & external mail on behalf of the Force. There is a requirement to order the required stationery and monitor stock levels of mail consumables. The role will also assist with general administration duties within the FM function and experience of using computer packages including Word and excel is essential.

Role Purpose:

To ensure that all internal and external mail received in HQ is handled and distributed appropriately. Duties also include the recording and dispatch of incoming and outgoing priority service mail and receipts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sort internal, District and Royal Mail correspondence.
  • Distribute mail around Headquarters, using a wheeled trolley.
  • Deliver mail to local locations, outside Headquarters.
  • Record and distribute incoming cheques and priority service mail.
  • Prepare outgoing mail for despatch.
  • Record and prepare outgoing priority service mail.
  • Order stationery for the mail room.
  • Record and distribute of incoming publications.
  • Assist with enquiries regarding the mail service and HQ Facilities Management Services.
  • Undertake other general clerical duties and responsibilities as may be directed by the Ops and Contracts Manager- Facilities Management.
