SYP - Transferee Roads Policing Group Constable

South Yorkshire Police are currently welcoming applications from qualified officers with relevant experience who are interested in transferring into the Roads Policing Team as a PC.

Roads Policing group (RPG) officers are pro-active and have a good working knowledge of traffic legislation, the Force tasking process and the national intelligence model.

Key areas of work include providing force-wide road safety initiatives, participation in and leading on national road safety campaigns. RPG officers provide a road crime function and a pursuit capability, provide cover and work on the strategic road network, provide support and assistance to local policing.  RPG officers deal with serious, life threatening and fatal collisions and work in partnership with key stakeholders.  All new RPG Constables will carry out the Family Liaison Officer role following training.
