Following the announcement of our current DCC, Chris Rowley, as the preferred candidate for Chief Constable in Lancashire, applications are invited for the post of Deputy Chief Constable for Humberside Police.

With a resident population of approximately 1 million, the communities served by Humberside are diverse, from the stunning rural areas of East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire, to the busy city of Kingston upon Hull and large towns of Scunthorpe and Grimsby.

Humberside Police is a force that has transformed over the last 4 years. With over 2050 police officers, 1300 police staff and a committed, engaged and ambitious workforce, it has already completed its largest recruitment of officers in its history, with the additional capabilities of Op Uplift adding further additionality over the next 2 years.

Our communities have a right to have high expectations of their local force, and with the continued support and commitment of our staff, the force has a realistic ambition of further improving on the 2018 HMICFRS gradings of ‘Good across the board’ towards ‘outstanding’.
